TEALED UP

I love pretty dresses, I love cute little skirts and of course I love me a teal colored jumpsuit. This is my latest find and the warmest single piece of cloth I've had on in a while. I particularly love the fabric: It's thick and just heavy enough to keep the skin hydrated. Teal is one of my favorite colors because it's such a warm and cosy pick. And as you already know, gold works so well with almost all the  warm tones(check out this post I did on how to wear your gold outfits and accessories) Think about red or yellow, mellow yellow, that right there is what I feel having this jumpsuit on
And the clutch bag ties everything up with accents of gold and yellow. I guess you could try doing this with  red and orange or even mustard!
Teal is not a very common closet color, and when it shows up it has to be special!

GOLD ACCENTS

Good mooooorning!
Now, we love to shower ourselves with accolades over the milestones we've achieved and more often than not ignore the group of people who rally behind us and encourage us to do better.
None of us is self made. None of us can truly claim to have done it by himself or herself. (I feel like writing "himuselufu" here) There you have it..
Someone had to sacrifice something or things to assist you with one or two things you needed to do: that class project, or your thesis, your health or even your job. When someone mentions the word sacrifice the first thing that comes to mind is that it has to be a massive step or a huge act of kindness, or something  dear to the person making it. But let me break it down to you, two minutes of a person's time is precious, that they choose to spend it with you or assisting you is sacrifice, one shilling of a person's investment is important.
We particularly have these "annoying" friends who won't let us fail in  peace.Your head droops just a little and they lift your chin up with a stick. You zone out just a little bit and they are on your ass pushing you to level up.
This is an appreciation post for such people, the wind in our wings, the audience to our bullshit, our cheerleaders, the consistent ones,  our loyal tribe. I salute you!
Ion today I'm wearing a very simple Ankara skater skirt and a sleeveless yellow top.The patterns on the skirt are quite conspicuous hence my decision to match it with a plain blouse. I thought of throwing on a multicolored headgear but then, it's not Christmas yet.
To top it all off, golden Louboutins for the win, to complement the warm yellow hues.
Till next time,  have a beautiful week and remember to give some credit where it's due.

ON THOSE LADY-LIKE DAYS

The denim pants in my closet are shooook and definitely a tad bit jealous of this oversized new piece that I recently added to my collection.I think it's also very funny that when I purchased this I wasn't looking for it.I was scouting for a pair of denim pants because I had traveled and overstayed, and ran out of clothes.Well, this has surprisingly  become one of my favorite things to throw on over the weekend.
Who knew?
Happy new month!

GIVING FRIDAY THE CASUAL VIBE

What better way to show up at work on Friday than in bright colors? You'll probably almost always get away with it because everyone else is busy thinking about food, movies, God or their beds. I really have a lot going on in my sphere right now but one can never be too busy for a personal style post.
I love sharing with you guys the things I love and one of them is this look. There is no limit to what you can do with colors when style is involved. The possibilities are endless. Other than the shoes I am wearing today, you've probably seen all the other items before on this blog, except today I'm trying out something different and styling them in a totally different way for an extra Friday casual look and with an official pair of black shoes.
Google says that most people associate the color orange with joy, warmth, heat, sunshine, enthusiasm and  health among other positive things :and I couldn't agree more. This outfit almost automatically sets the mood for the weekend. Also, I got a new hairdo going on: temporary locs for the win. Would you show up at work like this on Friday?Let me know in the comments section below.
Cheers!

Megan Markle and Prince Harry's wedding: Guests' Outfits

It's official! We aren't seeing Megan Markle on Suits anymore. Prince Harry and Megan Markle tied the knot at St. George's Chapel at the Windsor Castle making Megan the Duchess of Sussex, and as it is there was no shortage of style. Fine style. So here are some of my favorite looks from the royal wedding. We shall talk about David Beckham's outfit later.
